Tour de France 5/6 July
« on: April 23, 2014, 10:14:27 AM »
Hello everyone.
I'm a town councilor for Keighley, West Yorkshire
The Tour de France is coming to our region on the 5th & 6th of July.
The town centers of both Keighley and Haworth will be closed to all traffic on both dates but coach parking facilities will be in place.
Owing to the numbers of people we are expecting should any of you know of any company that is planning a Pick up/Drop off or even a day excursion on those dates please could you inform us, so that we may plan for extra parking if needed.
Please feel free to contact me for any other information on any coach issues for my region and not just for this particular event.

Sunday 6th July,  The reality is that Haworth Village, and all surrounding roads leading into it from Laneshawbridge, Oakworth, Oxenhope and Keighley will be completely closed from about 0600 hrs on 6th July and the K&WVR (Steam Train) will be the only form of transport penetrating Haworth.  The best point for dropping passengers at the top of Dalton Lane (College Campus) for access to the K&WVR at Keighley Railway Station.
